The Role
T his position is for a Field Engineer that will perform multiple tasks to include: site surveys, Bill of Material (BoM) development, engineering, installation, troubleshooting, and test & turn up for ISP and OSP projects. The position will support deployment of Long-Haul Optical Transport Networks, LAN/WAN installations and testing, evaluation of equipment, implementation of network upgrades and system design changes. 50% travel is required.
The Main Responsibilities
Associates degree and five years’ experience or bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience preferred. Experience can be substituted for education.
Experience with installation and testing of new and active WAN/LAN circuits is required.
Experience using Optical Power Meter and test equipment.
In depth knowledge of AC/DC Power and Grounding is preferred.
Experience using amp and volt meter.
Analyze and operate Optical Time Domain Reflectometer (OTDR).
BICSI certifications desired.
Working knowledge of standard security operations and procedures.
What We Look For in a Candidate
Qualifications
This position requires the ability to obtain and hold a Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
At least 50% travel will be required.
ISP installation experience is required.
Experience in troubleshooting ISP telecom systems is required.
The responsibilities of this position will continue to grow as additional portions of the network are accredited and achieve operational status.

Compensation
The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.
Location Based Pay Ranges
$84740 - $112980 in these states: MO and OH.
$88980 - $118630 in these states: CO and OR.
$93210 - $124280 in these states: CA, IL, and VA.
As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
