The Role

As a Sr. Channel Manager (Mass Markets), you will own the relationships with our local indirect field sales partners that are selling our new Quantum Fiber Internet solutions door to door. You will oversee the revenue and sales generating campaigns executed at various Partner field offices located throughout the local market and regionally. This includes driving accountability at the local partner level including the development of action plans as required to deliver results.

Location and Schedule

  • This is a Work From Home position in the state of Minnesota.

  • The primary location for the role is Minneapolis, with 25% travel required in the area.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Manage local partner field sales team performance with accountability for key metrics including sales, activations, churn, upgrades, and similar performance indicators.

  • Provide day-to-day sales support, including handling order fallout and support issues.

  • Conduct agent training including brand and product materials.

  • Coordinate with local partners on event schedules and 8-week road trip scheduling.

  • Build a comprehensive sales strategy with Sr. Leadership to grow Lumen's market share within the Mass Markets Channel and maintain sales objectives using a variety of tools, including Salesforce.com.

  • Actively work to build and maintain strong relationships with local partner owners, managers, and sellers in market.

  • Provide end-to-end customer experiences to differentiate Lumen in the market, including rapid response times for new opportunities and active troubleshooting on customer opportunities and challenges to meet customer needs.

  • Be active in the community, supporting the building of a positive Lumen brand and enabling the advancement of Lumen's market growth.

  • Develop SWOT assessments for each partner site through field sales report analysis, demonstration of vendor technology, and other related measurements.

  • Proactively identify potential problems, provide alternative solutions, and execute decisions with the big picture and long-term effects in mind.

  • Organize and execute campaigns through internal resources and partners.

  • Maintain accurate tracking mechanisms and analysis, action plans for management insight.

What We Look For in a Candidate

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and work experience.

  • Supervisory experience, including ability to diagnose performance issues, set goals, establish measurements, and confront deficiencies to meet short and long-term objectives

  • Strong analytical skills, Customer Service, Billing Negotiations, Coaching, and Collection Experience

  • Experience with facilitating calls, conducting calibration calls, providing constructive feedback, and creative with negotiation skills

  • Initiative-taker and relentless attention to detail

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong Microsoft Office skill

  • Experience and or knowledge with on-boarding vendor partners

  • Utilizes a strong degree of creativity and flexibility when managing projects, from a production experienced with completing projects stand-point but also in connecting the strategic dots

  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to travel and be out in the field locally with your team at least 25% of the month.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$67110 - $89480 in these states: MN

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.

You are also eligible for a generous Target Sales Incentive (TSI) of $32,000.

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

This position is eligible for either short-term incentives or sales compensation. Director and VP positions also are eligible for long-term incentive.
